Biography
Name: Vicky Arnill
Title: Independent Key Account Manager
How long have you worked at Tchibo? Six months

What are the responsibilities in your role as a KAM?
It’s my responsibility to win new business in the Independent field in my territory, as well as retaining our current business, so I need to ensure we are providing a consistently high level of service to keep our customers happy.
It’s important that I know our products and machines inside out to advise on the best solution to customers and make recommendations on new products and innovations that can support their business and help them grow.
Describe a typical day…
First things first – coffee! I’ll then check my planner for appointments and plot where my calls are. I like to schedule the furthest ones first then work my way back. Organisation, planning and preparation are really important in this role to work most efficiently.
Then I check on my emails and follow up on anything outstanding. I like to do my admin as I go while everything is fresh in my mind.
I look for potential new business as and when, and pop in to sites that I think might be interested in a premium coffee offering in between my booked appointments.
I do quite a lot of reading as well as I think it’s important to keep up to date with new innovations and products within the industry.
What’s the best thing about this job?
I have the freedom to plan my own day around my customers and I like meeting with them. I enjoy learning about new products and I’m passionate about our business.
I like the people that I work with here at Tchibo Coffee Service and I feel supported as an employee. Oh, and I love drinking coffee!
